01 — ABOUT
I'm a mechanical engineer with an unusual entry point: before I ever touched a CAD file professionally, I was designing and programming lighting control systems for live events, and running calls as a volunteer firefighter. Both taught me the same lesson from different angles — complex systems fail at their interfaces, and the engineer who understands the whole chain, not just their piece of it, is the one who keeps things running.
I graduated from Elon University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited, 3.5 GPA), with minors in Computer Science, Astronomy, and Math. I currently work as a Service Sales Engineer at Automated Logic Controls, where I scope and sell building automation and controls solutions — systems-level thinking applied to the built environment. Longer term, I'm building toward systems engineering and integration work in aerospace.

2025 — PRESENT
Automated Logic Controls (ALC)
Scope, design, and sell building automation and controls service solutions for commercial facilities. Translate customer requirements into technical proposals spanning HVAC controls, systems retrofits, and integration work.
[YEARS]
[Company / Freelance]
Designed and programmed lighting control systems for live events, building custom hardware and software to bridge control protocols. Delivered end-to-end systems — from mechanical fixture design through embedded control and live operation.
[YEARS]
[Department Name]
Responded to emergency calls as part of a volunteer department, training on apparatus operation, incident procedure, and equipment maintenance under time pressure. Stepped away due to relocation; planning to rejoin when local availability allows.
03 — PROJECTS
A payload of hardware, embedded systems, and controls work — spanning motorsport, live production, and marine engineering.
